Dear Cornix team, apart from signal stop loss, we would like implement a hard stop-loss in USD (or) cancel the trade whenever the signal comes with big stop loss, based on configured stop loss %.
Whenever a bad news comes, some pairs falls really bad. Eg: Unfi delisting.
This feature is really important for trades comes with variable stop loss and people who uses Fixed USD or % margin.
Appreciate if this feature can be added under the ‘Stop loss’ tab under Signals bot.
This is a good idea, it is important for the security of our deposits.
Yes cornix plzz do something for this
Yes good idea!
Rather than having a hard stop-loss, I would suggest to give the users the option to filter from Cornix, in the bot config, signals based on the desired max. SL%. That means that the trade should not even be initiated in the first place if the SL of the signal is larger than the specified max. SL% in the bot config.
To give you an example: I want to have an option in Cornix bot configuration to not initiate trades from signals that have SL bigger than 15%. I think this would be much better.
Its a great idea Mihai. This is much better than my earlier request. @Ori Kalinski - Hope this can be implemented. As you know, some signals comes with dynamic stop losses, the more volatile, the size of the stop losss amount will be bigger. Once the SL condition is met, the trade can be skipped.
Just to emphasise the importance of this (filter signals based on desired max. SL%),
Besides the fact that it will give us the control to filter abnormal signals like it was the case uf UNFI, this approach of filtering (rather than the hard stop-loss) brings another big advantage, which is that it will allow us to filter out even signals that are normal and this would help in much better controlling the risk especially for the situations where we want to use amount% or fixed amount usd.
Myself and many others in the group are using the amount% instead of risk% (some are using fixed usd amount) because it has a flatter/ more consistent allocation of usd across multiple trades, but by doing so we very much need to have this functionality to accept only trades/signals that have SL up to let’s say 6%, in order to better control the overall risk.
Another advantage is that it will also help indirectly in limiting the no. of active trades. I personally prefere not to have more than 40 active trades or so, with a chaotic spread of the risk. I may prefere to have up to 40 active trades or so, which all have SL up to that max x% that I configured.
